The Rebbe's letters to Nshei uBnos Chabad, Ladies Auxiliaries and other women's organizations — their mission, their conventions and how to run them:
Their mission. Just as the redemption from Egypt came in the merit of righteous women, the future redemption will come through the women of our generation, and their organized activity hastens it (IK 3383, 6044, 1514). Nshei Chabad is not only for those born into Chabad families but for every woman who joins; expand membership and include women from other circles, for Chassidus belongs to every Jew (IK 2199, 2318, 6092). Take an active role in strengthening chassidic life and education, at home and in the community (IK 3243, 10152).
Areas of work. Taharas hamishpacha — study groups and women's committees for family purity and proper mikvaos (IK 3066, 3068, 6650, 7308). Tznius, as the foundation for G-d's presence among the Jewish people (IK 9899, 9852). Children's education — involving parents, especially mothers, and founding youth clubs (IK 3949, 3735, 4356). Maos Chitim and helping new immigrants settle, spiritually and materially (IK 9664, 10196, 10430). Supporting yeshivos and girls' schools through the Ladies Auxiliaries, with dedication and joy (IK 797, 5138, 6886, 8308, 56).
Conventions and special times. The annual conventions should be turned into concrete action, with a booklet summarizing the gathering and its resolutions (IK 3878, 5769); on their messages, see IK 5477, 9689, 9137, 10853. Use auspicious times — the days of redemption, Yud-Tes Kislev to Chanukah, Elul — to add in spreading Torah and mitzvos (IK 6354, 8860, 10026, 10461, 9196). Chanukah's lesson: add light not only at home but in one's surroundings (IK 1969, 8735).
Organization. On the structure and autonomy of Nshei uBnos Chabad in Eretz Yisrael, see IK 1741. Report regularly and share successful methods with the central organization and other branches (IK 4547, 6650). Only beginnings are difficult (IK 3605). Publications and resolutions should be in the language the women actually speak — including Yiddish — so that every woman understands (IK 7213, 10009). On a practical question the organization raised, vaccinating children, see IK 4998.
