Your letter of the 1st of Cheshvan, with the report on the national convention enclosed in it, has just been received. It is a little surprising that you are so brief in writing, and that it also comes late. It is understood that the main thing is not the writing to here, but that you not be brief in activities.

It was pleasant for me to read in the report about the arrangement of the national convention, which was as it should be, both in quantity and in quality. And in accordance with the instruction of our Sages, of blessed memory, לא המדרש עיקר אלא המעשה, "Not study but deed is the main thing" (Avos 1:17), surely, close to the time of the inspiration, you also began activities to make use of the inspiration as much as possible. Perhaps it would be worthwhile to print a small booklet, a report of this convention, in which you would include a summary of the lectures, some pictures and the like. It is understood that this must be done in good taste, since the main intention is to draw more members to the organization and to interest the existing members even more. It would be worthwhile for you to consult among yourselves about this, and if you decide in favor, I will provide the printing expenses from a special fund that is at my disposal.

In connection with the points of the work you write about, I wish to emphasize here one point that is bound up with the time, namely: connection with, and influence on, the mothers of the boys and girls in the schools of the Reshet [network], which is most relevant, of course, at the beginning of the school year. Surely you will inform me of your activities in all the points, this one among them.
