איך בין געווען צופרידען צו באקומען די ידיעה, וועגען דער ערשטער אסיפה אין דעם נייעם יאהר, הבא עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה.
השם יתברך זאל העלפען אז די התחלה זאל זיין אין א גוטער שעה, און פארזעצען מיט הצלחה אייער העכסט וויכטיגע ארבעט אין פארלויף פון דעם גאנצען יאהר,
און לויט דער פאדערונג פון תורתנו הקדושה תורת חיים, אין א אופן פון מעלין בקודש, שטייגען אין דער ארבעט אין אלע הינזיכטען.
וואס דאס איז דאך אויך דער סימן פון לעבעדיקייט, וואקסען און שטייגען.
און השם יתברך זאל העלפען אז די ארבעט זאל אנגיין אן שוועריקייטען, און געטאן ווערען אין גוטען געזונט און גוטער שטימונג פון יעדע איינע פון די חברות מיט איר גאנצע פאמיליע - שיחיו.
לויט דער אנווייזונג פון רבנו הזקן, אז מען דארף לעבן מיט דער צייט, מיט דער סדרה פון דער תורה וואס מען לייענט די וואך,
שליס איך מיט דעם ענין פון היינטיגער סדרה - די ברכה וואס השם יתברך האט געגעבען צו אברהם אבינו און דורך עם צו זיינע קינדער און קינדס קינדער, אידען וואו נאר זיי געפינען זיך:
ואברכה ואגדלה שמך והי' ברכה (איך וועל דיר בענטשען, און מאכן גרויס דיין נאמען, און דו וועסט זיין א בענטשונג),
און ווי רבותינו זכרונם לברכה ערקלערען דעם אינהאלט פון והי' ברכה, דערנעהנטערען די ווייטע, רייניגען זיי און צובריינגען זיי צו אונזער פאטער אין הימל (בראשית רבה פרשה לט, יא).
און זעלבסט פארשטענדליך אויך לויט דעם עיקר און פשט פון פסוק, צו זיין געבענטשט אין דעם אלעם וואס מען נויטיגט זיך בגשמיות וברוחניות.
בברכה צו גוטע בשורות אין אלעם אויבענדערמאנטען.[1]

I was pleased to receive the news about the first gathering in this new year, may it be good for us and all Israel. May Hashem Yisbarach help that this beginning should be at an auspicious time and continue with success in your most important work throughout the entire year, according to the demands of our holy Torah, a Torah of life, in a manner of "ma'alin bakodesh" (ascending in holiness), increasing in your work in every aspect. This is also a sign of vitality—growing and advancing.
And may Hashem Yisbarach help that your work should proceed without difficulties and be accomplished with good health and good spirits for each member of the group together with her entire family—may they live.
Following the instruction of Rabbeinu HaZaken that one must live with the times—with the weekly Torah portion—I will conclude with a point from this week's parsha: The blessing that Hashem Yisbarach gave to Avraham Avinu and through him to his children and descendants, Jews wherever they may be: "Va'avarecha va'agadla shmecha vehyei beracha" (I will bless you, make your name great, and you shall be a blessing), and as our Rabbis of blessed memory explain the meaning of "vehyei beracha": drawing near those who are distant, purifying them and bringing them closer to our Father in Heaven (Bereishis Rabbah 39:11). And it is self-understood also according to the simple meaning of the verse—to be blessed in all one's material and spiritual needs.
