אין די דאָזיגע טעג צווישן י"ט כסלו – דער חג הגאולה פון אַלטן רבי'ן, מייסד תורת חסידות חב"ד – און די טעג פון חנוכה הבע"ל,
קום איך אויסצודריקן די האָפנונג, אַז יעדע איינע פון אייך, בתוככי כלל ישראל, וועט אויסנוצן די דאָזיגע סגולה-טעג צו פאַרשטאַרקן די טעטיקייט צו פאַרשפּרייטן תורה ומצוות באַלויכטן מיט חסידישער ליכטיקייט און לעבעדיקייט, סיי באַ זיך און אין דער היים, און סיי אין דער דרויסנדיגער סביבה, לויט די אָנווייזונגען פון די דאָזיגע טעג.
און זיכער איז אייך באַוואוסט, אַז

פון די עקריות'דיגע אָנווייזונגען פון י"ט כסלו, חג הגאולה, איז
הפצת המעיינות חוצה
("פאַרשפּרייטן די קוואַלן אינדרויסן"), וואָס נעמט אַריין דריי ענינים:
א) צו משפיע זיין אויף די – יחידים און קרייזן – וועלכע זיינען נאָך "אינדרויסן";
ב) צו באַלעבן זיי מיט די מים חיים פון די מעינות פון תורה און חסידות;
ג) און טאָן דאָס אין אַן אופן פון

– פאַרשפּרייטן אַלץ מער און מער.

To the Nshei U'Bnos Chabad – London branch, may Hashem be upon them for life. Blessings and peace!
In these days between Yud Tes Kislev—the Festival of Redemption of the Alter Rebbe, founder of Chabad Chassidus—and the upcoming days of Chanukah, I wish to express my hope that each one of you, among all of Israel, will utilize these special days to strengthen your activities in spreading Torah and mitzvos illuminated with chassidic light and vitality—both within yourselves and your homes, as well as in your external environment—according to the directives of these days.
And surely you know that one of the main directives of Yud Tes Kislev, the Festival of Redemption, is hafatzas hamaayanos chutzah (spreading the wellsprings outward), which includes three things: a) influencing individuals and circles who are still "outside"; b) enlivening them with the living waters from the wellsprings of Torah and Chassidus; c) doing so in a manner of true spreading—expanding ever more.
This is also one of the main directives from the days of Chanukah—in the mitzvah of lighting Chanukah candles at "the entrance to one's house facing outward," adding another candle each night. Even though lighting one candle on the first night fulfills the mitzvah completely according to halachah, we must add another candle on the second night, and so on with an additional candle each night. This shows that we must also spread the light of ner mitzvah v'Torah or (the candle is a mitzvah and Torah is light).
There is special significance here for Jewish women and girls in general—and for Nshei U'Bnos Chabad in particular—as our Sages said: "They too (the women) had a share in this miracle."
