איך האף אז אייערע חשובע מיטגלידערינס און געסט וועלן קומען צו דער סעודה של מצוה אונטערן רושם פון דעם יום-טוב פון קבלת התורה וואס מיר האבן אקארשט געפייערט און וואס דארף באווירקן דאס לעבן א גאנץ יאר.
פאר דער אידישער פרוי האט דעם יום טוב שבועות א באזונדערע באדייטונג, וואס ווערט אונטערשטראכן מיט דער מגילת רות. ניט אויפן נאמען פון בועז, דער נשיא פון אידישן פאלק אין יענער צייט, דער אפשטאמלינג פון יהודא בן יעקב, ווערט די מגילה אנגערופן, נאר אויפן נאמען פון רות. דערמיט אונטערשטרייכט די תורה - אויף אלע צייטן און אין אלע ערטער - דעם וויכטיגען ארט וואס די אידישע פרוי פארנעמט ווען זי אנערקענט איר פאראנטווארטלעכקייט צו איר היים, צו דער סביבה און צום אידישן פאלק, און נוצט אויס אירע מעגלעכקייטן אין דער ריכטונג. דאן בויט זי די אמת'ע אידישע היים "ווי די היים פון רחל און לאה" און לעגט די יסודות פאר דער גאולה שלימה.
ס'איז איבעריק צו אונטערשטרייכן, אז איינע פון די הויפט אויפגאבען פון דער אידישער פרוי, און אין אונזער צייט און ארט בפרט, איז צו העלפן דערציען דעם יונגען דור אין חינוך הכשר על טהרת הקודש. די וויכטיקייט פון אייער ארבעט איז זעלבסטפארשטענדלעך, איך האף אבער אז אייער טעטיקייט וועט כסדר שטייגען און אויסברייטערן זיך אין אלע הינזיכטן, אין כמות און אין איכות. דער אויבערשטער בלייבט ניט שולדיק, און יעדע הוספה אין דער ריכטונג וועט זיכער ברענגען א הוספה אין דעם אויבערשטן ברכות צו יעדער איינער פון אייך און אייערע בני בית - שיחיו - בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.

I was pleased to receive the news about your upcoming annual luncheon this Sunday, the 20th of Sivan, may it be for good. I hope that your esteemed members and guests will come to this mitzvah meal under the impression of the Yom Tov of Kabbalas HaTorah which we have just celebrated and which should influence our lives throughout the year.
For the Jewish woman, the festival of Shavuos has a special significance, which is emphasized by Megillas Rus. The scroll is not named after Boaz—the leader of the Jewish people at that time and a descendant of Yehudah ben Yaakov—but rather after Rus. With this, the Torah underscores for all times and places the important role that the Jewish woman occupies when she recognizes her responsibility to her home, her surroundings, and to the Jewish people as a whole, utilizing her abilities in this direction.
Then she builds a true Jewish home "like the home of Rachel and Leah" and lays the foundations for the complete redemption.
It is unnecessary to stress that one of the main tasks of the Jewish woman—especially in our time and place—is to help raise the younger generation with proper education based on purity and holiness.
The importance of your work is self-evident; however, I hope that your activities will continually increase and expand in every aspect—both quantitatively and qualitatively.
The Almighty does not remain indebted; every increase in this direction will surely bring an increase in His blessings to each one of you and your families—both materially and spiritually together.
