I acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 8th of Teves, which was written briefly. Surely you will write in more detail in the coming days, and may it be G‑d's will that your letters will contain not only good hopes regarding the future—which is also good since hope is surely well-founded—but ultimately, the true goal is practical action in the present. May it be as above, that very soon news will begin to arrive about good deeds from the recent past and present, and may these actions continue to grow greater from time to time until the coming of our master about whom it is written: 'Yaskil Avdi Yarum v'Nisa v'Gavah Me'od' ("My servant shall prosper; he shall be exalted and lifted up and become very high").

I was pleased to read in your letter about the gathering of Talmidei HaTalmud Torah organized by Nshei U'Bnos Chabad. Surely here too it will be fulfilled: more than what the host (the mashpia) does for the poor person (the recipient), the poor person does for the host—that is, the impression and effect from this activity will be on both sides: to bring even more students and parents closer to chassidic guidance and customs, and afterwards also to Chassidus itself, increasing activities both in quantity and quality by Nshei U'Bnos Chabad as well as in their homes and among their family members.

In regards to all Anash and their families—may they stand blessed with life forever, awaiting good news.

The Rebbe teaches that while hope for a better future is valuable, real progress comes through concrete actions taken now. Both those who give and those who receive are uplifted through active participation in communal life.
