Anash who are in the city of Dublin, may Hashem be upon them for life.
Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to receive your letter from the 20th of Kislev, in which you write about the celebration of Yud-Tes Kislev, the day of good tidings and redemption, with the participation of several people. You completed Maseches Sotah, had a meal, etc., and surely you also took good resolutions regarding matters of Torah and mitzvos both among Anash themselves as well as in spreading the wellsprings outward. It is known the ruling of the Heavenly Court, which my father-in-law the Rebbe conveyed in one of his letters (printed in Sefer Kitzurim V'He'aros L'Tanya p. 122), that in every matter of Torah, fear of Heaven, and good character traits, the hand of those connected to (the Alter Rebbe) and those who follow his path will prevail.
2) I was very pleased by what you wrote about the Nshei U'Bnos Chabad association which has already begun with gatherings and study sessions etc., and I am enclosing a copy of what was written here to some branches which also contains points regarding study and gatherings. It is understood that it is not necessary to be so strict about formal membership in the association if they are from Anash stock and wish to participate and draw close to Chabad; this too is sufficient etc., and this should be understood. It is clear that for benefit it is worthwhile that the members themselves also participate as learners and presenters so that they will draw others into the depth of these matters; obviously this does not preclude having men teach them if deemed appropriate.
3) In accordance with these lessons and beautiful work already discussed at a gathering—regarding what is explained in Chassidus, especially Likkutei Torah—that even negative things written in Parshas Bechukosai and Parshas Tavo are truly blessings; similarly regarding the end of Maseches Sotah: among those matters there it says "in Ikvesa D'Meshicha chutzpah will increase... youths will shame elders; a daughter will rise against her mother," etc. In serving Hashem this means that regardless of one's own reckoning about his status or even simple matters concerning Torah observance, he has enough breadth (di breitkeit) to become an influencer who inspires and guides those around him—not only regarding laws but also ways of Chassidus and its conduct; not only regarding revealed Torah but also hidden Torah—Razin D'Razin—which is also included and explained in Chassidus. Moreover, even those who have acquired this wisdom but have not yet merited its inner light—this is Toras HaChassidus—even if he himself is still a youth... "youths will shame elders." Furthermore, even within his own home—if for whatever reason leniencies were practiced due to past life circumstances—a daughter rises against her mother or a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law, conducting themselves properly even in these matters without regard for their mothers’ or mothers-in-law’s previous conduct; ultimately even the mothers and mothers-in-law will follow their example—and this should be understood.
May Hashem grant us soon that we see with our physical eyes how "Hashem your G‑d transforms the curse into a blessing because He loves you."
With blessings for a joyous Chanukah.
P.S. Enclosed is an excerpt from my letter in English which you will surely use appropriately.
Summary
The Rebbe encourages inclusivity within Nshei U'Bnos Chabad activities—valuing participation over formal membership—and highlights how positive influence can transform individuals and communities through learning, teaching, and living by Chassidus.
