בנועם נתקבלה הידיעה אשר הכנס השנתי העשירי יתקיים בשלהי חודש מנחם אב. ויהי רצון שיהי' בשעה טובה ומוצלחת.
והרי כל אסיפה של יהודים במטרה לעודד איש את רעהו ואשה את רעותה בעניני תורה ומצוות, ובפרט כשמוארים וחדורים באור וחיות חסידותיים, הרי זה דבר גדול. ומכל שכן כשמתכנסים למטרה זו בארצנו הק',
ארץ
אשר תמיד עיני ה"א בה מרשית השנה ועד אחרית שנה.
ונוסף על סגולת המקום, הרי גם הזמן מסוגל ומתאים במיוחד לענינים העשויים לחזק את מדת האהבה, אהבת ישראל, שההיפך מזה הי' הגורם והסיבה למאורעות דפרק זה של "בין המצרים", כהודעת
חכמינו
ז"ל שעל ידי תיקון וביטול הסיבה מבטלים המסובב ומקרבים קיום

שייהפכו ימים אלו לששון ולשמחה.
וכמדובר כמה פעמים, זכות מיוחדת ותפקיד מיוחד לנשי ובנות ישראל בכל דבר טוב שארע לעמנו, מתחיל במתן-תורה, שאז נעשינו לעם, שניתנה על דעת הנשים תחילה, וכידוע

: ויבואו האנשים על הנשים. וכן אחר כך בנוגע לחביבות ארץ ישראל כהודעת חכמינו ז"ל: יפה כח נשים מכח אנשים כו' (ספרי, פנחס כז, א), וכן בנוגע קץ גלות המר הזה

שיהי' בדוגמת יציאת מצרים,
שבזכות
נשים צדקניות שבאותו הדור נגאלו אבותינו ממצרים, וכן יהי' בגאולתנו האמיתית והשלימה על ידי משיח צדקנו במהרה בימינו.
ולהעיר על נקודה נוספת בכנס זה, כיון שתהיינה משתתפות מכמה מדינות וארצות, כולל ובראש - העולות לאחרונה
מהמדינה ההיא

Shalom u'Vrachah!
To the participants in the tenth annual convention of Nshei U'Bnos Chabad in our holy land—may it be rebuilt and established speedily in our days by Hashem—may you live! Blessings and peace!
It was received with pleasure that the tenth annual convention will take place at the end of the month of Menachem Av. May it be at a good and successful time.
Every gathering of Jews with the purpose to encourage one another—in this case, women encouraging each other—in matters of Torah and mitzvos, especially when illuminated and infused with chassidic light and vitality, is a great thing. All the more so when gathering for this purpose in our holy land, a land upon which the eyes of Hashem are always from the beginning of the year to its end (Devarim 11:12).
In addition to the special quality of the place, this time is also particularly suited for matters that strengthen the trait of love—Ahavas Yisrael—for its opposite was what caused the events of this period known as Bein HaMetzarim (the Three Weeks), as our Sages taught: by correcting and nullifying the cause (baseless hatred), we nullify its effect (the exile) and bring closer the fulfillment of the prophecy that these days will be transformed into joy and gladness.
As has been discussed many times: Jewish women have a unique merit and role in every good event that has happened to our people. This began at Matan Torah—when we became a nation—which was given first with consideration for women, as our Sages explain: "So shall you say to Beis Yaakov"—these are the women (first), "and tell Bnei Yisrael"—these are the men. Similarly, regarding contributions to the Mishkan—the women preceded the men, as it says: "And the men came upon (after) the women." Also regarding love for Eretz Yisrael—as our Sages say: "The strength of women is greater than that of men," etc. (Sifrei Pinchas 27:1). And concerning the end of this bitter exile—it is stated in Midrash that just as in Egypt our ancestors were redeemed in merit of righteous women, so too will it be with our true and complete redemption through Moshiach Tzidkeinu speedily in our days.
Another point about this convention: since there will be participants from several countries—including especially those who recently immigrated from that country—the strong resolutions taken here and their implementation will have an impact not only in our holy land but will spread to all corners of the earth.
