עס האט מיר געפרייט צו באקומען די ידיעה וועגן דעם יערלעכן באנקעט, כ"ג בשבט, און איך ווינטש אלע אקטיווע מיטהעלפער און אנטייל נעמער תי' פיל דערפאלג אין דער אונטערנעמונג אין אלע הינזיכטן.
מיר קומען ערשט פון דעם 13'טן יארצייט-הילולא פון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר וואס האט איבערגעפלאנצט די ליובאוויטשער ישיבות אין דעם לאנד מיט 23 יאר צוריק. די ליובאוויטשער ישיבות האבן ב"ה מצליח געווען, און די ליידיס אקזילערי האט א גאר באדייטנדעם חלק אין דעם.
היינטיקס יאר, ווען עס איז געווארן 150 יאר זינט דער הסתלקות פון אלטן רבי'ן, בעל התניא והשולחן-ערוך און גרינדער פון חב"ד, איז ספעציעל א סגולה-יאר פאר אלע שטיצער און אנטיילנעמער אין די הייליקע מוסדות וועלכע ווערן אנגעפירט אין זיין גייסט און לויט זיינע אנווייזונגען. דער ערשטער ספר וואס דער אלטער רבי האט געדרוקט איז געווען הלכות תלמוד-תורה, אונטערשטרייכנדיק דערמיט, אז די ערשטע פליכט פון א אידן איז צו לערנען תורה, שטיצן תורה און פירן דעם טאג-טעגלעכן לעבן על פי תורה, וואס די תורה הק' ווערט אנגערופן תורת-אמת און תורת-חיים, ווייל זי גיט דעם אמת'ן אינהאלט אין אידישן לעבן או דעם אמת'ן גליק, סיי מאטעריעל און סיי גייסטיג.
השם יתברך זאל געבן איר זאלט אלע פארזעצן אייער גוטע ארבעט אין א פארגרעסערטער מאס; לויט ווי עס פאדערט זיך, אז אלע זאכן פון קדושה און גוטעס זאלן וואסקן און פארשפרייטן זיך, און דער זכות פון דער מצוה זאל אייך און אייערע בני-בית, שיחיו, ברענגען דעם אויבערשטנ'ס ברכות אין א שטייגנדער מאס, אין אלעס אין וואס מען נויטיגט זיך, מאטעריעל און גייסטיג.

Annual banquet of the Ladies Auxiliary of Brownsville and East New York for the Lubavitcher Yeshivos "Tomchei Temimim"

I was pleased to receive the news about this annual banquet, on 23 Shevat, and I wish all active helpers and participants much success in this undertaking in every aspect.
We have just come from the 13th yahrzeit-hilulah of my father-in-law, the previous Rebbe, who transplanted the Lubavitcher Yeshivos to this country 23 years ago. The Lubavitcher Yeshivos have, thank G‑d, been successful, and the Ladies Auxiliary has a very significant part in this.
This year marks 150 years since the passing of the Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya and Shulchan Aruch and founder of Chabad. It is especially an auspicious year for all supporters and participants in these holy institutions which are conducted in his spirit and according to his directives.
The first book that the Alter Rebbe printed was Hilchos Talmud Torah, thereby emphasizing that a Jew's first duty is to study Torah, support Torah, and conduct daily life according to Torah. The holy Torah is called Toras Emes (Torah of Truth) and Toras Chaim (Torah of Life), because it gives true content to Jewish life and true happiness—both materially and spiritually.
May Hashem grant that you all continue your good work with increased strength; as is fitting, that all matters of holiness and goodness should grow and spread. May the merit of this mitzvah bring you and your families increasing blessings from Above in everything needed—materially and spiritually.
