I received your letter from the 13th of Kislev with its enclosure, and it is surprising that it was delayed so much in its delivery.

Regarding the distribution of Kehot publications: it is surprising that you do not mention anything about selling to bookstores. Besides the publicity gained by having the books in many places, it is also clear that anyone searching for a book turns to a bookstore, thereby increasing the possibilities for distribution. This does not contradict selling among Anash, yeshiva students, etc., since yeshiva students outside Tel Aviv will certainly not travel to buy from a bookstore—especially when you offer them payment over time. It is especially unfortunate that for several months now the books have been in Eretz HaKodesh and yet distribution is still minimal.

There should also have been efforts—for several reasons—to have newspapers print favorable reviews about the various books and pamphlets. This would arouse interest even among those currently distant from Anash to see the book or pamphlet themselves. Similarly, there should have been efforts to post notices about these books and pamphlets in places where many people gather. It is surprising that this seems to be done carelessly and without consideration for increasing distribution.

I was pleased with what you wrote about the Nshei U'Bnos Chabad association, but it is surprising that such a long time passes between one gathering and another. Regarding actual decisions—the delay is even longer.

About what you wrote regarding the difference between a sheitel and covering with a kerchief: it is obvious that when covering the head with a kerchief and meeting an acquaintance or friend casually, often the kerchief slips off (glitsh zich arap) or even disappears completely into a pocket; whereas with a sheitel this cannot happen, so eventually habit becomes second nature.

Regarding what you wrote about the situation in Kfar Chabad and at Beit Rivka: apparently I have still not merited to have satisfaction from these matters, even though it would be easy to achieve if only they desired it. It seems this is also true regarding matters of the network under your supervision—it should have developed and grown; yet all pride and greatness is merely that it has not diminished (or only slightly) compared to what was until now.

About what you wrote concerning the blessing for the year: I am surprised by this matter—it was sent months ago. As for what you write about settling in Kfar Chabad but not wanting it as a profession—I do not know what reason there could be for this desire. The idea of 'among my people I dwell' and being in a Chabad environment does not require much explanation or emphasis at all.

As you requested, I will mention those you wrote about in your letter at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, may his merit protect us. May it be G‑d's will that you share good news regarding your success both in general matters and personal ones—especially as spreading the wellsprings outward continues to grow; one piece of advice for this is distributing these printed materials as mentioned above, obviously.
