עס וואונדערט מיר וואס איר דערמאנט ניט וועגען דער ארבעט פון די נשי ובנות חב"ד אין אייער שטאט. וואס אויב אין אלע צייטען איז דאס געווען העכסט וויכטיג, איז דאס היינט נאך אין א פיל גרעסערער מאס. און בפרט צווישען די ספרדים, וואס בא זיי איז דער חינוך הבנות ונשים אין גאנצען א נייע זאך, אין דער צייט וואס וועלטליכע ידיעות און געגען - אידישקייט - קומט יע צו זיי דורך די עקאלס און צייטונגען און ענליכעס. און במילא קומט אויס אז די נעגאטיווע שעדליכע ידיעות באקומען זיי מער און מער, און פון אידישקייט, ליידער ביז איצטער, זייער שוואך און ווייניג איז געטאן געווארען פאר דעם. און עס איז דאך איבעריג צו אונטערשטרייכען, אז אין דעם ריכטיגען אידישען חינוך פון די טעכטער, איז אפהיינגיג שפעטערדיקער שטעל פון הויז, און חינוך פון זייערע קינדער.
זעלבסט פארשטענדליך, אז איר קענט איבערגעבען דאס אויבען געזאגטע צו אלע נשי אנ"ש מיט וועלכע איר טרעפט זיך. און וואס מער פרויען עס וועלען אריינגעצויגען ווערען אין דער ארבעט - אלץ בעסער. ווארום - יעדערע קען בריינגען נוצען לויט אירע פעהיגקייטען און מעגליכקייטען, ווען עס וועט נאר זיין דער אמת'ר ווילען אין דעם. און השי"ת זאל אייך מצליח זיין צו אנזאגען גוטעס אין דעם.

I acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 22nd of Menachem Av, and surely I need not point out that the matter you write about could lead to similar requests from others, meaning this would greatly increase the expenses of the institutions. Nevertheless, I do not wish to make a decision in this matter. I have written about it to Haraha"g Haraha"ch etc. Harabag in Paris, and hopefully you will now write to him and be informed about it.
I am surprised that you did not mention the work of Nshei U'Bnos Chabad in your city. If at all times this was extremely important, today it is even more so. Especially among the Sephardim, for whom education for girls and women is entirely new, at a time when secular knowledge—and opposition to Judaism—now reaches them through schools and newspapers and similar means. As a result, they receive more and more negative influences, while unfortunately until now very little has been done for them regarding Judaism.
It is unnecessary to stress that proper Jewish education for daughters determines the future state of the home and the education of their children. It goes without saying that you can convey what was said above to all Nshei Anash with whom you meet. The more women who are drawn into this work—the better. For each one can contribute according to her abilities and possibilities if only there is true desire in this matter.
