I was pleased to receive greetings about your work through Rebbetzin Golda Shwei, together with the collected Maos Chitim funds, as confirmed by the attached receipt. Your success in this area is certainly an indication of success in the other activities of Nshei Chabad as well, and may Hashem help that all your endeavors continue on an even greater and broader scale.
And although we all have the inner wish that Jews should be able to support themselves and not need to rely on Maos Chitim at all, until that is so it is necessary to provide the greatest possible assistance for those in need — both materially and spiritually.
The importance of Jewish women's participation is especially emphasized during these days of Purim and particularly in the Megillah. As was mentioned at the farbrengen: although Esther did everything according to Mordechai's instructions (Ve'es Maamar Mordechai Esther Oseh — "And Esther carried out Mordechai's word"), nevertheless, the Megillah is not named after Mordechai or both their names but specifically after Esther alone — Megillas Esther.
