בימים אלה שבין י"ט כסלו – חג הגאולה של רבנו הזקן מייסד תורת חסידות חב"ד – וימי החנוכה הבע"ל,
תקותי שכל אחת ואחת מהן, בתוככי כלל ישראל, תנצל ימי סגולה אלה להוספה בפעולות הפצת התורה והמצוות מוארות וחדורות אור וחיות חסידותיים, הן בבית פנימה והן בסביבה חוצה, וכהוראות ימים אלה.
ובודאי ידוע להן

ההוראות העיקריות של חג הגאולה די"ט כסלו היא
הפצת המעינות חוצה
, שיש בזה שלשה ענינים:
א) להשפיע גם על אלה – יחידים וחוגים – שעדיין הם "
חוצה
";
ב) להחיותם במים חיים של
מעינות
התורה והחסידות;
ג) ולעשות בזה באופן של
הפצה
, הלוך ומוסיף.
והרי זוהי גם כן אחת ההוראות העיקריות של ימי החנוכה, במצות הדלקת נר חנוכה
"על

באופן
דמוסיף והולך מוסיף ואור. שאף על פי
שבהדלקת
נר אחד בליל א' דחנוכה מקיימים המצוה כהלכתה ובמילואה, מוסיפים עוד נר בליל שני, ומוסיף והולך – להורות שכן צריך להיות גם בהפצת
נר
מצוה ותורה אור.

Nshei U'Bnos Chabad — may Hashem be upon them, may they live — blessings and peace!
In these days between Yud Tes Kislev — the Festival of Redemption of our Alter Rebbe, founder of Chabad Chassidus — and the upcoming days of Chanukah, it is my hope that each one of them, among all Israel, will utilize these auspicious days to increase activities in spreading Torah and mitzvos illuminated and infused with the light and vitality of Chassidus, both within their homes and outwardly to their surroundings, as is instructed by these days.
Surely they know that one of the main lessons from the Festival of Redemption on Yud Tes Kislev is "spreading the wellsprings outward," which includes three points: a) influencing even those individuals or groups who are still considered "outside"; b) reviving them with the living waters of the wellsprings of Torah and Chassidus; c) doing so in a manner of spreading — continually increasing.
This is also one of the main lessons from the days of Chanukah: in the mitzvah of lighting the Chanukah candle at the entrance to one's house facing outward, in a manner that increases continuously — adding more light. For even though lighting one candle on the first night fulfills the mitzvah completely according to halachah, we add another candle on the second night and continue increasing — teaching that so too must we increase in spreading "the candle of mitzvah and Torah is light."
This is a special directive for Jewish women and girls in general, and for Nshei U'Bnos Chabad in particular, based on our Sages' statement: "They too (the women) were part of that miracle."
