Beracha Veshalom!
If this is true for every single person—even those who may not know what they can accomplish—how much more so for those who have already acted and seen success, whose deeds have brought good to an entire circle of people in many areas. This is even more true in a much greater measure, and so it is also in your case, as you have seen the positive outcome of your work in the field of Nshei Chabad...
I write all this because I assume that the lack of receiving your updates is due to a decrease in your involvement. I want to add another point: the event mentioned regarding the passing of my brother, Haraha"ch iy"a nu"n baal middos etc. a"h, should add to one's activity and efforts. All Jews believe in the immortality of the soul. This belief is so well-founded that even non-Jews believe in its truth.
It is simple: our connection is not with flesh and bones but with the soul [which we see through its effect on the body]. Therefore, it is true that even after there is a change in the bond between soul and body, one can—through good deeds—cause satisfaction to the soul, and indeed on a greater and deeper level. For after departing from the body, the soul has no bodily limitations; thus, it can be affected by things which it could not experience while within a body due to physical constraints—even by actions done in utmost privacy.
I hope that what was said above will be sufficient to illuminate how one's conduct should be now: if until now you acted in matters that are good for Heaven and good for people, now there is an added necessity not only to continue this work but also to expand it both quantitatively and qualitatively—in your own actions and by influencing others to act as well. This will bring about the aforementioned satisfaction for the soul of the departed.
May it be G‑d's will that coming now from the days of redemption—the 12th and 13th of Tammuz—when it was seen how Torah triumphed over and nullified the darkness of exile, so too now there should be drawn down a redemption from all confusing matters. With proper health and expanded awareness, may you increase good deeds that illuminate the darkness of exile. I hope that by return mail I will receive from you good news about all that was said above.
With blessing.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that our positive actions have enduring spiritual effects, especially when dedicated to communal causes like Nshei Chabad. Even after one's passing, these deeds bring satisfaction above; thus we must persistently expand our efforts for good.
