די עצם זאך אליין, נדבת לבן הט' צו זאמלען דעם סכום פאר די יתומים, צייגט, אז עס איז איבעריג צו ערקלערין דעם גרויסען ערך פון דעם ענין צו העלפען יתומים בכלל ובפרט העלפען יתומים וועלכע געפינען זיך אין אהלה של תורה, און באקומען א חינוך על טהרת הקדש, און גייען אין דעם וועג פון תורה און מצוה, וואס בעזרת השי"ת וועלען זיי אזוי אויך איינארדנען זייער לעבען.
איך וויל נאר דא אונטערשטרייכן דעם ווארט פון רבנו הזקן בעל התניא והשו"ע, וואס ער שרייבט וועגען דער מעלה פון צדקה בכלל, אז די געלט וועלכע מען גיט אוועק אויף צדקה - דערהויבט דאס די איבעריגע אייגענטום אז דאס גאנצע זאל זיין א מכון לשבתו ית'.
וואס פון דעם איז פארשטענדליך, אז דארט וואו עס געפינט זיך השם יתברך, וועלכער איז עצם הטוב, וועט זיין דורכאויס טוב וחסד. אין אנדערע ווערטער, אז די גאנצע געלט וועט פארנוצט ווערען נאר אויף געזונטע און פרייליכע זאכן.
און ספּעציעל ווען עס האנדעלט זיך - העלפען שטעלען זיך אויף די פיס יונגע יתומים, וואס יעדער פון זיי וועט זיינער צייט בויען א הויז בישראל בנין עדי עד, איז די אלע באטייליגטע אין דער יעצטיגער הילף, באקומען אויך א חלק אין דעם בנין עדי עד, וואס צדקתם עומדת לעד.
ומדתו של הקב"ה מדה כנגד מדה, צו ממשיך זיין יעדערער פון די איינטייל נעמער אין דעם - מענער און פרויען - ברכה והצלחה אין די ענינים הפרטים. און אז איר זאלט קענען געזונטערהייט און מיט פרייליכע הערצער פארטזעצען און פארגרעסערען אייער ארבעט אין די ענינים פון תורה ומצוה, וואס זיי און זייער שכר זיינען נצחיים וקיימים לעד.

Through Haraha"g veHaraha"ch iy"a nu"n one who is involved in tzt"z and is very active for G‑d and His Torah etc. Moreinu HaRav Dov Yehuda Shachat, I have received a check for $1200 for the benefit of the young orphans... may they live, to be distributed appropriately at suitable times. Enclosed is a receipt from Machane Yisrael, which deals with such similar matters.
The very act itself — your heartfelt initiative to collect this sum for the orphans — shows that it is unnecessary to explain the great value of helping orphans in general, and especially helping orphans who are found in a tent of Torah and receive an education in purity and holiness, following the path of Torah and mitzvahs; with G‑d's help, they too will order their lives accordingly.
I only wish to emphasize here the words of our master, the Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya and Shulchan Aruch, who writes about the virtue of tzedakah in general: that the money given away for tzedakah elevates one's remaining property so that all becomes a dwelling place for His Presence. From this it is understood that wherever Hashem Yisbarach — Who is the essence of good — resides, there will be only goodness and kindness throughout. In other words: all one's money will be used only for healthy and joyful things.
And especially when it comes to helping young orphans stand on their own feet — each one will eventually build a home among Israel, an everlasting edifice — all those participating in this current assistance also receive a share in this everlasting edifice; as their righteousness endures forever.
And since Hashem's measure is measure for measure, may each participant in this — men and women — draw down blessing and success in their personal matters. May you continue in good health and with joyful hearts to expand your work in matters of Torah and mitzvahs whose reward is eternal.
