To all chapters of Agudas Nshei U'Bnos Chabad everywhere, and especially to the participants in the sixth annual convention — may Hashem be upon them and grant them life.

This year's annual convention of Nshei U'Bnos Chabad is scheduled for the days immediately following Lag BaOmer — the yahrzeit (anniversary of passing) of Rabbi Shimon ben Yochai — and will surely be influenced by its impression. Among the greatest Tannaim, Rabbi Shimon ben Yochai stood out for teaching and revealing the hidden and inner light and content of Torah through the Zohar, Tikunei Zohar, etc. The inner dimension of Torah is connected with the inner dimension of Israel — with the innermost aspect of a Jew, the Jewish soul — and creates an inner bond between a Jew and G‑dliness. As Rabbi Shimon ben Yochai says in Zohar (and as is widely explained in Chassidus Chabad), the innermost point of a Jew — the "pintele Yid" — is whole within every Jew, regardless of their external state or circumstances.

However, one must awaken this "pintele Yid" both within oneself and in everyone around them so that this inner essence becomes revealed, influences, and completely governs one's external self down to every detail of daily life. This is one of the main tasks of chassidim in general and Chabad chassidim in particular.

In fulfilling this task, Nshei U'Bnos Chabad play a very important role. For Divine Providence has endowed Jewish women with special qualities and abilities that can and must be used for this purpose. The woman is the foundation of the home and is responsible for its inner light and Jewish warmth so that the Jewish home remains protected from winds foreign or hostile to Judaism blowing outside. Additionally, a woman is endowed with a greater and more expressive measure of feeling and heartfelt emotion; therefore she is suited to awaken and elicit innate feelings of love for Hashem, love for Torah, and love for fellow Jews.

The revelation of one's inner essence until it dominates one's external self — even into daily life — brings reward measure for measure: that the inner and hidden aspects of Divine Providence (which are pure goodness) should be revealed into all needs of daily life — health, livelihood, nachas from children — so that hidden good descends into visible and manifest good.

With blessing that the convention and all chapters everywhere should fulfill their missions with great success in joy and gladness of heart.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that by revealing our innermost G‑dly spark—especially through women's unique strengths—we draw down open blessings into every aspect of our lives. This mission transforms both ourselves and our surroundings with true joy.
