ברכה ושלום!
בנועם נתקבלה הידיעה על דבר הכינוס השנתי שיתקיים בשבת מברכים חודש סיון הבע"ל. ויהי רצון שיהי' בהצלחה בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.
לאחרונה הוזכר כמה פעמים
הפסוק
שאמרו דוד המלך בשם כל אחד ואחת מישראל ובשם כלל ישראל:
כמופת הייתי לרבים ואתה מחסי עוז
(תהלים
ע"א, ז).
אחת הנקודות בזה היא שכל אחד ואחת מישראל בתור פרט, ועמנו בני ישראל בתור עם, נוסף על השלימות שעליהם להשיג בשביל עצמם, יש להם אחריות להסביבה וצריכים לשמש

לכאורה יש מקום לחשוב: איך יכול עם קטן,
המעט
מכל העמים, להיות למופת ולדוגמא לכל יושבי תבל, שעה שהעולם כל כך שקוע בחומריות ומתרשם מכמות יותר מאיכות? וכן יש מקום ליהודי שומר תורה ומצווה לחשוב: איך יכול אני, יחיד בין רבים, לפעול מה שהוא?
והמענה על זה בסופו של פסוק הנ"ל:
ואתה מחסי עוז
. פירושו, שאין יהודי בא מכוח עצמו, אלא מכוחו של הקדוש ברוך הוא ובכוח ועוז מלמעלה שמקבל על ידי תורת ה' ומצוות ה'.
ומרומז הענין גם
בסיפור חכמינו זכרונם לברכה
, שבשעה שנתן הקב"ה את התורה לעמו ישראל על הר סיני, במדבר סיני, כשהיו פרושים מכל העולם, היו עשרת הדברות הולכות ונשמעות מקצה העולם ועד קצהו עד שנחרדו כל האומות, אך כששמעו פשר הדבר, שהקב"ה נתן תורה לעמו ישראל, נחה דעתם, ואז פתחו ואמרו:
ה'
עוז לעמו יתן, ה' יברך את עמו בשלום
, כלומר, כיון שה' נתן את התורה, הנקראת "עוז", לעמו, בודאי שה' יברך את עמו בשלום.
ובזה מודגש שהכוח והעוז אשר עם בני ישראל מקבל מתורת ה', אין זה ענין של
כוחי
ועוצם ידי ועריצות להשתלט על האומות, אלא אדרבה, התורה מביאה שלום לעולם, שלום ליחיד ושלום להכלל, וסוף סוף תביא שלום גם בין אומות העולם.
בתקופתנו זו, תקופה של טישטוש ערכים ובילבול המוחות, שומה על
הקול
קול יעקב – קול התורה והמצוות – להישמע בתוקף, קול גדול אדיר וחזק, בכל מקום שם נמצאים שומרי תורה ומצוה.
וכמו אז בשעת מתן תורה, כאשר הקב"ה ציוה למשה רבנו לפנות

לנשי ישראל ("בית יעקב") ואחר כך לדבר עם האנשים ("בני ישראל"), כן גם עתה יש לנשי ובנות ישראל תפקיד חשוב ביותר בהחזקת התורה והפצת התורה במצוותי' בחיי היום-יום. ובמיוחד, בשים לב שהמדובר הוא בהשפעה –
מופת לרבים
– הרי בזה הרגש החם פועל יותר מאשר השכל הקר. והרי הנשים בכלל ניחנו בעדינות וברגש שבלב יותר מהאנשים.
כיון שהכינוס השנתי יתקיים בשבת מברכים חודש סיון, חודש דמתן-תורה, בודאי שכל המשתתפות תהיינה תחת רושם ימי סגולה אלה, כאמור לעיל, וברוח זה תתבטא ההחלטה התקיפה לחזק ולהרחיב שטח הפעולות של נשי ובנות חב"ד בכוחות מחודשים והולכים ומתגברים.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
To the annual gathering of Nshei U'Bnos Chabad, may Hashem be upon them for life—blessings and peace!
It was received with pleasure to hear about the annual gathering that will take place on Shabbat Mevarchim Sivan, G‑d willing. May it be His will that it will be successful both materially and spiritually together.
Recently, the verse has been mentioned several times—the verse that David HaMelech said on behalf of every Jew individually and on behalf of all Israel: "Kemoft hayiti l'rabim v'atah machsi oz" (Tehillim 71:7) ("I have become a wonder to many, but You are my strong refuge"). One point here is that every Jew as an individual, and our people as a nation, in addition to achieving personal fulfillment, also have responsibility for their surroundings and must serve as an example for many.
It might seem: How can a small nation, the fewest among all peoples, be an example and model for all inhabitants of the earth when the world is so immersed in materialism and values quantity over quality? Similarly, a Jew who observes Torah and mitzvos might think: How can I—one among many—accomplish anything?
The answer is found at the end of that verse: "V'atah machsi oz" ("But You are my strong refuge"). This means that a Jew does not act by his own strength but by the strength of Hakadosh Baruch Hu—and with power from Above received through Hashem's Torah and mitzvos.
This idea is also hinted at in our Sages' story: When Hashem gave the Torah to His people Israel at Mount Sinai—in the Sinai desert when they were separated from the world—the Ten Commandments were heard from one end of the world to the other until all nations trembled. But when they understood that Hashem had given His Torah to His people Israel, they were appeased. Then they declared: "Hashem oz l'amo yiten; Hashem yevarech es amo vashalom" ("Hashem will give strength to His people; Hashem will bless His people with peace"). That is, since Hashem gave Torah—called 'strength'—to His people, surely He will bless them with peace.
This emphasizes that the power which Bnei Yisrael receive from Torah is not about personal might or domination over nations; rather, Torah brings peace—to individuals and communities—and ultimately will bring peace among all nations.
In our era—a time of blurred values and confusion—it is incumbent that "the voice is Yaakov's voice," meaning Torah and mitzvos, be heard strongly everywhere Jews observe Torah. Just as at Matan Torah when Hashem instructed Moshe Rabbeinu first to approach the women (Beis Yaakov) before speaking to the men (Bnei Yisrael), so too today Jewish women have a most important role in upholding Torah and spreading its mitzvos in daily life.
Especially since this influence—being an example for many—is more affected by warm feeling than by cold intellect. Women are generally endowed with greater sensitivity and heart than men.
Since this annual gathering takes place on Shabbat Mevarchim Sivan—the month of Matan Torah—certainly all participants will be inspired by these auspicious days as mentioned above. In this spirit there should be a firm resolution to strengthen and expand Nshei U'Bnos Chabad activities with renewed and ever-increasing energy.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that Jewish women have a vital responsibility to inspire others through heartfelt action rooted in Torah. By embracing this role together at their annual gathering, they help spread peace and G‑dliness throughout their communities and beyond.
