Shalom u'Vrachah!

In response to your letter from the 5th of Cheshvan, in which you write that a doubt troubles your heart regarding how to relate to those who deny and reject matters found in the Written Torah or in the Oral Torah, etc.

It is surprising, since you begin your letter with "B"H", meaning Baruch Hashem (blessed is G‑d), Who is the Giver of the Torah, a Torah of life and its commandments for each and every one of us within all Israel—a Torah that gives guidance in life. Thus, even your question has an explicit directive in our holy Torah, and it is well known; so what room is there for possible doubt?

This directive is found in several places. I will at least point out one: Rambam, Hilchos Teshuvah chapter 3, halachos 8 and 14.

You do not write your schedule of study in our Torah, but I hope that it occupies a proper place—studying those halachos necessary for daily life so as to know what actions should be done and which should not be done.

This is indeed the main role of a Jewish person, as it says: "Es HaElokim yira v'es mitzvosav shmor ki zeh kol ha'adam" (Fear G‑d and keep His commandments for this is the whole person). Surely you also influence your friends in this matter.
