In response to your letter from June 1st, in which you write about your attitude and current situation as well as that of your son, may he live. At an auspicious time I will mention you at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory, for all that you need.

I was pleased to read in your letter about your son's interest in the Chabad movement, and I hope that you as well are interested in this. May it be that for both of you this interest is proper—that is, it leads to practical action as our Sages teach: 'Great is study for it brings to action.' Indeed, every individual is connected to the Chabad approach and its conclusions—even up to their application in daily life. As is well known from the saying of the founder of Chabad Chassidus—the Baal HaTanya and Shulchan Aruch—that Chassidus is not just for a particular group but is the inheritance of the entire people. There is nothing that stands in the way of willpower.

I hope you participate in Anash gatherings held on holidays and festivals in your area and that you also have regular times set for deep study of Chassidus. Again: there is nothing that stands in the way of willpower here either.

Certainly your son will also write here at the appropriate time; please extend my regards to him on my behalf. Surely you will also convey to him what I have written above since these words are directed at him as well. Thank you very much.
