I acknowledge receipt of your letter from Rosh Chodesh Iyar, in which you also write about your wife, Mrs. Faygele, may she live. At an auspicious time, she will again be mentioned at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory, for a speedy and complete recovery. Together with her, may you enjoy long and good years, and much nachas—Jewish pride and satisfaction—from your children and grandchildren, may they live.

Especially in light of what you wrote about your lineage, many details of which were new and pleasant news to me, may this stand you in good stead for all the above-mentioned blessings. As is also well known from the statement of our Sages, 'Throw a stick into the air, it will land on its root,' and particularly regarding Chassidic warmth and vitality, which your ancestors received from our Rebbes, founders of Chabad Chassidus. It is well known that the words and actions of tzaddikim endure forever and have a real effect in daily life. Surely, these actions will further increase the blessings from the Holy One, blessed be He, in all the above-mentioned matters.

I await good news and sign with blessings for all good. Please do not delay in writing about the improvement in her health. Many thanks, as well, for the photo of the grandchildren, may they live for good, long days.
