I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 17th of Menachem Av. The first two chapters of Beis Rebbe in Lashon HaKodesh, part one, along with your attached letter, were also received in due time. Surely you are continuing your work on this with the greatest possible alacrity—provided it does not harm the content—and overall the chapters have been arranged well.

Regarding your question about who are the two well-known elders mentioned in Sefer HaSichos page 49: At present I do not recall hearing this from my father-in-law, the Rebbe. Therefore you can leave this matter unresolved for now. Certainly during the arrangement of the remaining writings, additional information will be added anyway; if this doubt is clarified then, it will be included in the supplements that will be printed at that time. The main thing is as above: to hasten work on the aforementioned sefer so it will already be published—and also to ensure it is done with excellence—while fulfilling the obligation not to delay and to settle everything properly in its arrangement.
