With this letter I wish to express my deep sympathy for your great loss of your father and husband, the renowned chassidic rabbi, vavac"h iy"a Reb David Meir z"l. We had in him a personal, devoted friend for all the institutions of the Rebbe Rayatz shlit"a, and his memory will remain deeply engraved in everyone's hearts. HaMakom yenachem etchem betoch [she'ar] avelei Tzion v'Yerushalayim (May the Omnipresent comfort you among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem).
Esteemed Rabinowitz family: Since there is now a great shortage of Tanyas and we face the urgent need to reprint Tanya in the near future, I would like to suggest that you establish a fund in the name of your late father and husband to enable the reprinting of Tanya as a merit for the soul of Rabbi David Meir z"l. I do not need to explain to you the importance of this matter and the great nachas ruach (spiritual satisfaction) you will bring to the soul of the departed by doing so.
Our friend, Harav havo"ch iy"a Reb Yisrael shiyichyeh Jacobson will personally provide you with further details, and I hope that you will give this matter your earnest consideration.
