Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from Motzaei Shabbos Kodesh, answering my question regarding shidduchim, you write and enumerate reasons that have delayed you until now in this matter.
It is understood that since our Torah is a Torah of life and has commanded us [1], "And in the evening do not let your hand rest" [2], and it is also ruled in Shulchan Aruch (Even HaEzer at its beginning), certainly these reasons should be resolved and assured (bavarnen). We have clearly seen in the recent past that there were several people in your situation who became engaged and married, are satisfied, and live happy lives.
Regarding what you wrote—that perhaps this will cause distance from your children— I am very doubtful if there is any reason for such a concern; on the contrary, it is likely that this is even their wish.
As for your question regarding the three festivals [3], when you begin to look into proposals as mentioned above, it takes time until details are found and discussed, and meanwhile three festivals will pass—unlike if you do not even begin to inquire.
Regarding whether to divide your assets, etc.—although there is reason to divide that which you wish to give to charity specifically by yourself (as our Torah says: "A mitzvah performed by oneself is greater than through an agent," and see also the sichah of my father-in-law the Rebbe based on the saying "Your world you shall see in your lifetime" [4]), nevertheless regarding dividing now what should be inherited after long life—this reasoning does not seem correct to me. In our times we see that such conduct has led to undesirable results.
May Hashem, Who nourishes and sustains all with goodness, grace, kindness, and mercy, fulfill the needs of all those whom you wish to include in this division in a good manner. And may you use your assets for matters of Torah and mitzvos for many good years...
With blessing for good news in all the above.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that one should pursue shidduchim without undue hesitation or fear of negative consequences for family relationships. He also advises against dividing one's inheritance prematurely, encouraging instead ongoing use of one's resources for Torah and mitzvos throughout life.
