מכתבי הקודמים בטח קבל במועדם, ויהי רצון אשר כל הנבטא בהם יצא סו"ס לפועל, שהרי בעולם המעשה אנו חיים וגדול תלמוד ומחשבה כשהם מביאים לידי מעשה, והרי זוהי גם הבחינה על אמתיות המחשבה והלימוד.
ולקראת חג המצות, זמן חירותנו, הבא עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה, הנני בזה להביע ברכתי לחג כשר ושמח ולחירות אמתית, חירות מדאגות בגשם ומדאגות ברוח - מכל דבר המעכב עבודת ה' בשמחה ובטוב לבב, ולהמשיך מחירות ושמחה זו בימי כל השנה כולה, וכמו שנאמר למען תזכור את יום צאתך מארץ מצרים כל ימי חייך.

זה עתה מסרו לי חוברת חזות על פי בקשת כבודו, ותודתי נתונה לו על שימת לבו לשלוח לי קובץ זה, אף שכמובן עדין לא הי' הזמן גרמא לעיין בתוכו.

To the distinguished and venerable chassid, engaged in communal affairs, a man of refined character and noble lineage, Mr. Zalman Shazar,
Shalom u’vracha.
I am confident that my previous letters have reached you in a timely manner. May it be the will of Hashem that all that was expressed in them should ultimately be realized in actual practice.
For we live in a world of action, and the true greatness of study, reflection, and ideas is when they are brought to fruition in deed. Not only is action the ultimate purpose of study, but it also serves as the verification of its truth. Just as in a scientific endeavor, the validity of an idea is confirmed through experiment and realization, so too in matters of Torah and thought—their correctness is demonstrated when they are translated into actual practice.
As we approach the Festival of Matzos, the time of our freedom, which comes upon us and upon all Israel for good, I extend my blessings for a kosher and joyous festival.
May it be a time of true freedom—freedom from all disturbances, both physical and spiritual, and from anything that might hinder one’s service of Hashem with joy and gladness of heart. And may this freedom and joy not remain confined to the days of the festival, but extend throughout all the days of the year, in accordance with the verse: “So that you shall remember the day of your going out of Egypt all the days of your life.”

I have received the booklet “Chazot” that you sent. Thank you for your attention in sending it. It is understood that I have not yet had the opportunity to review it.
SUMMARY:
The Rebbe stresses that study must lead to action, which also validates its truth. He blesses for Pesach as a time of genuine freedom—removing all obstacles to serving Hashem—and encourages carrying that freedom into the entire year.

בטוחני שמכתביי הקודמים הגיעו אליו בזמנם, ויהי רצון שכל הנאמר בהם יבוא לידי פועל ממש.
שהרי אנו חיים בעולם המעשה, ועיקר מעלת הלימוד, ההתבוננות והרעיונות היא כאשר הם באים לידי ביטוי בפועל. ולא זו בלבד שהמעשה הוא התכלית של הלימוד, אלא הוא גם המבחן לאמיתותו. כשם שבענייני מדע, נכונות הרעיון מתבררת על ידי ניסוי והוצאה לפועל, כך גם בענייני תורה—כאשר הדברים באים לידי קיום בפועל, מתברר כי הם אמת.
ובהתקרב חג המצות, זמן חירותנו, הבא עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה, הנני מברך בברכת חג פסח כשר ושמח.
ויהי זה זמן של חירות אמיתית—חירות מכל המניעות, הן הגשמיות והן הרוחניות, מכל דבר המונע ומעכב בעבודת ה' בשמחה ובטוב לבב. ותימשך חירות זו והשמחה הנלווית אליה על פני כל ימות השנה, כמאמר הכתוב: "למען תזכור את יום צאתך מארץ מצרים כל ימי חייך".
