Shalom u'Vrachah!
Regarding your letter from the 10th of Elul, the month of mercy: I am responding immediately without waiting for your turn, as my intention is focused on the point of spreading the wellsprings outward. I am hurrying to take advantage of the time and these few days of this auspicious year—the two hundredth since the passing (yahrzeit) of our teacher, the Baal Shem Tov z"l. Your response to what I wrote is, in the style of our Sages: "They claimed wheat and he admitted to barley." What I wrote—and it puzzles and pains me—is that you are not utilizing your talents and abilities for spreading the wellsprings. Your answer—that so-and-so is not in order and so-and-so does not assist you, etc.—is not relevant to my point. If anything, this actually strengthens my argument: if, as you say, several people are not in order, this only increases the workload on those who are supposed to be in order. I hope and trust that you are certainly among them. The matter is simple and needs no lengthy explanation; nor do I need to show you where you can apply yourself in this area, since several of your articles and writings have already been published in various places and even independently.
Even though it seems we are approaching the end of this special year, besides the main point—that even in year two hundred and one, the commandment to spread the wellsprings remains fully in force even if it is not a jubilee year—there are still several days left in this very year until its end, with many hours and moments remaining. In a single hour or moment one can accomplish great and wondrous things if one brings forth all one's powers and treasures from deep within a Jewish soul. In the words of our Rebbe, when not only does a ray from the heart's point shine forth but also its very essence (see Likkutei Torah, Devarim: "Ki Tetze LaMilchamah Al Oyvecha...", section 3). The beginning of all sections of Tur Orach Chaim is: "Be as swift as a deer...to do your Father's will in Heaven."
May it be G‑d's will that I hear good news regarding all these matters. As above—this letter was sent quickly and urgently.
With honor and blessing for good tidings and inscription for a good year.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that every Jew must use their unique strengths for spreading Chassidus without delay or excuses. Even when others falter, our responsibility grows; every moment holds potential for great impact when we act with our full inner resources.
