Holy letters of the Rebbe in Volume 15, letter number 5455.

Baruch Hashem, the 16th day of Iyar, 5717, Brooklyn.

Shalom U’Vracha.

So the Rebbe says, “I want to confirm receiving your letter dated the 11th day of Iyar, and also there, over there, I didn't find a sufficient reason for not writing up until now.” I guess the Rebbe wrote to him before, “How come you're not writing?” and now he's writing a letter why he's not writing. The Rebbe says, “I don't find there a good enough reason.”

And the Rebbe says, “I've already articulated in the past, I am not—my intention is not to be screaming about the past, but I want to fix for the future.”

And also the Rebbe says a whole another point: “It's not that you need to report to me,” or the Rebbe doesn't say it in those words. The Rebbe says, “The main purpose is not that they should know in a certain place what's going on.” Certain place means 770, means the Rebbe. Over there we should know what's happening. That's not what it's meant.

But the Rebbe says, “The reason is the way you can see practically speaking, that when there is set times that you need to report about the activities that are being done, this encourages and adds more strength. Because you know you're going to have to report, you somehow gain more energy, both in the revealed powers to do more, and even to draw down from the hidden powers to increase in the activities both quantity-wise and quality-wise.”

And the Rebbe says, “I pray that these words that I'm saying to you now should impact you, and through you also to all those that are of this category, that can do more, and that you are able to influence them.”

So the Rebbe says to report and get the people to report, and that way they will do more. That's just the bottom line.

And the Rebbe says, “For sure... for sure you will utilize the special clear day of Lag BaOmer, which is the Hilula, Yahrzeit of the Rashbi, Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, with the central point of spreading the wellsprings to the outside. And also that you're making the proper preparation to utilize the time of the Torah giving, which is Shavuos that is coming upon us. May the Blessed Hashem succeed you to give good news in this and in all of the above.”

The Rebbe blesses him for success in the above again and for good news. And the Rebbe says, “I thank you and I thank you for this precious gift.” He gave the Rebbe a precious gift: that was the manuscript, the handwriting of the Rebbe Rashab, that's the father of the previous Rebbe. He sent it to the Rebbe as a gift. And the Rebbe signs his name.

And now the Rebbe says in the bottom, that “this letter has been delayed, and in the meantime we got the report from Tzeirei Agudas Chabad, the Young Chabad in Israel, that they traveled to Meron etc.” And the Rebbe says, “It's surprising that your name is not amongst the activists over there.”
