Shalom u'Vrachah!

Today, while at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, I mentioned his wife—may she live and be well—as written in his pan (petition), and may it be G‑d's will that He Who heals all flesh and works wonders will grant her merit and success to share good news in this matter and in all her affairs.

This is also the eve of a new month, which is Rosh Hashanah for trees. As it is written: "For man is like a tree of the field," and especially according to Beis Shammai, this is considered the eve of this Rosh Hashanah, as stated in their words in the Mishnah. Additionally, it is known that both opinions are words of the living G‑d; see Likkutei Torah Bamidbar 54c that in the future, the law will follow specifically Beis Shammai.

Regarding Anash and Temimim in particular, this is also the month of yahrzeit (hilulah) of our generation's Nasi—my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal—who stands and arouses abundant mercy for all those connected to him. As is well known from his words: "The shepherds of Israel never separate from their flock."

With blessings for good news.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that just as Tu Bishvat marks renewal for trees, so too should we seek spiritual growth. The connection to our leaders remains strong; their merit continues to inspire blessings and positive change for all who are connected.
