Through your brother, Harav vavac"h iy"a nu"n mom b'emunah etc. Yaakov HaKohen, I received your request for a blessing and the enclosed check for tzedakah in the amount of $100.

Since we are still in the week of 12 and 13 Tammuz, which are the birthday of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal (may his merit protect us), and his liberation from imprisonment (for his work in founding yeshivos, Talmud Torahs, and strengthening Judaism in that country), and you surely know that after his passing a network of yeshivos and Talmud Torahs was established bearing his name "Oholei Yosef Yitzchak" in our Holy Land, Africa, Australia, etc., I have therefore transferred your contribution to the fund that supports these above-mentioned institutions. The merit of this tzedakah is great enough to bring you blessing and success in all you need because these institutions are connected with my father-in-law's name and especially with his spirit in their conduct. Thus, supporting these institutions especially strengthens your bond with him, which serves as an additional channel to draw down and maintain Hashem's blessings.

Your brother also asks on your behalf whether you should send your children to study at the Talmud Torah in Miami Beach, where they learn no more than two hours and eleven minutes daily. My opinion is that you should do so, for there are many reasons: 1) The children will maintain their connection with Torah every day and not G‑d forbid the opposite, for regarding Torah it says: Im Ta'azveini Yom Yomayim E'ezveka (If you forsake Me for a day, I will forsake you for two days), meaning if one leaves Torah for one day it leaves him for two; 2) Socializing with children from a religious Talmud Torah brings much benefit to your children—something not easily found in your environment; and there are other reasons as well. For all these reasons you should indeed send your children to the Talmud Torah in Miami Beach...
