It is with sorrow that I learned of the passing of your wife, the Rebbetzin Mrs. Bracha Necha, of blessed memory. May it be G‑d's will that from now on you should know no more pain or distress, G‑d forbid. In these days of old mourning—which will surely soon be transformed in our days to joy and happiness—may even new mourning be forgotten from the earth, and 'they shall awake and sing, those who dwell in the dust.'

Just now they brought from the bindery the booklet "Reshimos on Megillas Eichah" by my revered father-in-law the tzt"z of blessed memory. It also includes a discourse from my revered father-in-law Maharash of blessed memory, a discourse from my revered father-in-law Maharashab of blessed memory, and a discourse from my revered father-in-law. May it be G‑d's will that through your efforts this light of Torah and the light of Torah itself will enter thousands of Jewish homes; then, in accordance with G‑d's attribute of measure for measure, you too will be illuminated with revealed and visible good and see much nachas from your daughter and son-in-law.

I am enclosing two booklets; surely you will inform the office how many more to send to you.

May it be G‑d's will that we merit the hoped-for promise: 'I will turn their mourning into joy,' and these days will be transformed into joy and gladness—may it be soon.
