Yeshivos Achei Temimim Lubavitch (Lubavitcher Achei Temimim Yeshivas)

Yeshivos Achei Temimim Lubavitch refers to the network of Lubavitcher yeshivas known as "Achei Temimim," institutions dedicated to Torah study and Chassidic education under the auspices of Chabad-Lubavitch. The yeshivas serve as central pillars for the education and spiritual development of young men within the Chabad movement.

Correspondence with the Rebbe

The Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, addressed a detailed letter to the administrators, teachers, and staff of Yeshivos Achei Temimim Lubavitch in response to their inquiries regarding adjustments to the yeshiva schedule during the summer months. In this correspondence, the Rebbe emphasized several key points:

1. Continuous Educational Responsibility: The Rebbe stressed that the duty of educators extends beyond the classroom and yeshiva walls. Even when students are outside the yeshiva, especially during summer vacation, educators must remain attentive to their students' whereabouts and activities, offering support and guidance to ensure they continue on the proper path. He cited the teaching of the Sages that an educator’s supervision persists even when not physically present.

2. Ongoing Professional Growth: The Rebbe encouraged even the most experienced teachers to utilize the summer break to further their own knowledge, particularly in areas relevant to their sacred work, which he described as "the work of the L-rd."

3. Involvement of Lay Leaders: The Rebbe advised that lay leaders and supporters of the yeshivas should seize opportunities, even during leisure, to engage new individuals and inspire them to support Torah education. He referenced the verse, "It is a tree of life for those who grasp it," highlighting the merit of those who support Torah institutions.

4. Expanding Enrollment: The Rebbe urged that efforts should not be limited to maintaining current student numbers. He called for organized and enthusiastic outreach to increase enrollment, emphasizing the tremendous merit in bringing even one more Jewish child into the yeshiva environment, both physically and spiritually.

The Rebbe concluded his letter with blessings for success in their holy work and for abundant material and spiritual good, especially in anticipation of the upcoming days of redemption, the 12th and 13th of Tammuz, commemorating the liberation of the Previous Lubavitcher Rebbe.
