איך בין געווען צופרידען צו דערוויסען זיך אז זיינער צייט האט איר געלערנט אין תומכי תמימים אין פולין, און זיכער וועלען די כחות וואס נשיאנו הקדושים האבען אריינגעלייגט און די תלמידים בכלל און אין תלמידי תומכי תמימים בפרט, ניט גיין לאיבוד, ח"ו, איז דאך מער ניט וואס עס דארף זיין, ווי כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר פלעגט זאגען: א חסיד איז א קלוגער, ער לייגט ניט אפ אויף מארגען, וואס ער קען אויפטאן היינט, וביחוד א שמש אין א שול, קען גאר א סך אויפטאן היינט, אין זיין שול, און אונבארמערקטערהייט נאך מער וי בגלוי און מיט שטורעם, און השי"ת בלייבט ניט קיין בעל חוב און איז משלם בתוספת מרובה על העיקר, בנחת יהודי וחסידותי, מבנים און פון זיך אליין אויך.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to receive greetings from you through Harav Havav"ch iy"a nu"n, one who is involved with tzt"z with faith, Moreinu Harav Menachem Shmuel Dovid Levi Reichik, the emissary. He also delivered your pidyon nefesh to me, and according to your request, I mentioned you at an auspicious time at the resting place of my father-in-law, the holy Rebbe zatzal nishmaso Eden.
I was glad to learn that in the past you studied in Tomchei Temimim in Poland. Surely the strengths that our holy leaders invested in their students in general and specifically in the students of Tomchei Temimim will not be lost, G‑d forbid. Therefore, nothing more is required than—as my father-in-law the Rebbe would say: A Chossid is wise; he does not put off until tomorrow what he can accomplish today. Especially a shamash (attendant) in a shul can accomplish much today in his shul—and often even more unnoticed than openly and with fanfare. And Hashem does not remain indebted; He repays with abundant additions beyond the principal—with Jewish and chassidic satisfaction—from children and from oneself as well.
With blessings for proper health both materially and spiritually.

The Rebbe teaches that a Chossid acts wisely by seizing today's opportunities rather than delaying them. Immediate effort brings hidden blessings and satisfaction for oneself and one's family, especially when serving others in communal roles.
