I received your two letters from the 18th of Kislev and the 4th of Chanukah, and my response was delayed due to various preoccupations and mainly because we spoke by telephone in between. Nevertheless, I want to remind you again that I mentioned you on the 19th of Kislev and on the eve of Rosh Chodesh Teves at the Tziyun of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m.

As we discussed when you were here, you will be a soldier of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m. Therefore, the Rebbe will take upon himself responsibility for providing for those matters that you and your family need both materially and spiritually. You should prepare broad vessels to receive them in full.

I hope that soon you will be able to report good news that the blessings of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m, have been fulfilled...

I am enclosing herewith the Hanukkah kuntres as well as my general letter about it. Although they were delayed due to technical reasons, nevertheless the topics discussed there are relevant for the entire year.
