Vaad Moshev Kfar Chabad is the committee responsible for overseeing the affairs of the Chabad-Lubavitch settlement in Kfar Chabad, Israel. The committee acts as the central body for communal, social, and religious matters within the settlement, serving as a liaison between the residents and external organizations.
The Lubavitcher Rebbe maintained an active correspondence with the Vaad Moshev Kfar Chabad, offering guidance on both practical and spiritual matters. In a letter dated 12 Tevet 5712 (1952), the Rebbe responded to the committee's inquiry regarding the Shemitah Fund of the Agency, clarifying that the fund was established based on the statements of Dr. Schwartz-Legoradetzky, who was then visiting in Eretz HaKodesh. The Rebbe advised the committee to engage with Dr. Schwartz diplomatically and pleasantly to secure his assistance.
The Rebbe also expressed disappointment that the committee had not provided detailed reports about the celebration of Yud Tes Kislev ("the festival of festivals"). He emphasized the importance of publicizing such events appropriately, noting that such publicity could attract individuals from distant circles and was especially significant for the youth who were immigrating to Israel. The Rebbe enclosed a letter regarding Yud Tes Kislev and requested that it be widely disseminated, given the difficulty of sending it to each individual personally. Throughout the correspondence, the Rebbe extended blessings for success and the sharing of good news.
