נפשו בחייו חיותו בעלמא דין – מסירת נפש על הפצת היהדות, תורת אמת ותורת חיים ומצותי' עליהן נאמר
וחי
בהם – מבלי להתפעל ואפילו לא להתרשם מכל מונע ומעכב, אויב ושונא,
זכרון ע"מ שיבוא בפועל
ובמעשה
שהוא העיקר, ללכת בדרך זו אשר הורנו וסלל לפנינו להפיץ
התוהמ"צ
חדורים אהבת השם ויראת השם ובאופן דמוסיף והולך.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
As we stand at the beginning of the eleventh month, on Rosh Chodesh, with the tenth of the month being the yahrzeit of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, it is a day of remembrance (a time of atonement and salvation for their souls from their enemies) to remind oneself and all those around him of the central point of his life's work (of the one whose yahrzeit it is)—his soul's labor in his lifetime in this world: self-sacrifice for spreading Judaism, Torah of truth and Torah of life, and its mitzvos about which it is said "v'chai bahem" (and you shall live by them)—without being affected or even impressed by any obstacle or hindrance, enemy or foe. This remembrance must lead to practical action—which is most important—to follow this path that he taught us and paved before us: to spread Torah and mitzvos imbued with love and awe of Hashem, always increasing.
This year’s yahrzeit has special significance (twenty years since his passing), as its occurrence matches that of the year he passed away—on Shabbos Kodesh when Parshas Bo is read. May it be G‑d’s will that this remembrance and awakening—and especially what follows in actual deed—be enduring and have their effect throughout the entire year. May this be a year of light, blessing, Torah, and redemption—the true and complete redemption through our righteous Moshiach; may he bring about resurrection of the dead so that "those who dwell in dust will awaken and sing," with him among them.
