... אין דעתי נוחה מענינים של מחלוקת באיזה אופן שיהי'... מובן שא"א לוותר על דברים עיקרים הנוגעים בחנוך, אבל בענינים התלוים בממון לבד, יש להזהר ממחלוקת, כי עלולה לירידה (אריינלאזען זיך) בתנועה של נצחון וכמבואר בדא"ח שמצד מדת הנצחון הנה אין כל מעצור, ואין זה רק בצד דקדושה, אלא אדרבה בלעו"ז כשנכנס בנצחון, שטעלט ער זיך ניט אפ פאר קיין זאך, ולכן כדאי להשתדל ביותר ולחפש כו"כ תחבולות שישיגו את כל הנצרך בשביל העבודה מבלי להכנס במחלוקת, ולא לנגוע אנרירען את האחר ובפרט עד כדי כך שילך במס"נ בכדי לנצח יהי' מה שיהי' ואחכה לבשו"ט ממנו בכל הנ"ל...

...I am not pleased with matters of dispute in any form... It is understood that one cannot give up on fundamental issues related to education, but regarding matters that depend solely on money, one must be careful to avoid disputes. This is because it can lead to a decline (getting involved) in the drive for victory. As explained in Chassidus, the attribute of victory knows no bounds; this is not only on the side of holiness but even more so on the opposite side—when someone enters into a mindset of victory, he does not stop at anything. Therefore, it is worthwhile to make every effort and seek out various strategies to achieve everything necessary for the work without entering into disputes and without disturbing others—especially not to the extent of self-sacrifice just for the sake of winning at all costs. I await good news from you regarding all the above...
