היות שיש חילוקי דיעות בכתוב "פצוע דכא", אם הוא בא' או בה' - וכ"ק רבנו הזקן בעל השו"ע והתניא פוסק דכא בא' - והוגד לי כי לכת"ר שי' יש אוסף ספרים וכתבי יד עתיקים, אכיר תודה רבה למר אם יואיל לשלוח לי פאטאסטאטן מכל הכתבי-יד בנידון זה, וכמובן שההוצאות על חשבוני.
בהזדמנות זו הנני שולח לכת"ר שו"ע רבינו הזקן, אשר בו פקסימלי' משו"ת רבינו שנדפס [ב]פעם הראשונה על ידינו, וגם חוברת עסקנות ציבורית של נשיאי חב"ד אשר גם בה פקסימליות מהנשיאים.

Since there are differences of opinion in the text "Ptzua Daka," whether it is spelled with an alef or a hei—and our master, the Alter Rebbe, author of Shulchan Aruch and Tanya, rules that it is with an alef—and I have been told that you possess a collection of books and ancient manuscripts, I would be very grateful if you could send me facsimiles of all manuscripts on this subject. Of course, all expenses will be covered by me.
On this occasion I am sending you the Shulchan Aruch of our master, the Alter Rebbe, which includes a facsimile from his responsa printed for the first time by us, as well as a public affairs booklet from the leaders of Chabad that also contains facsimiles from these leaders.
