היות אשר בקשר עם חג הפסח הממשמש ובא רבות הבקשות לעזרה המגיעות אלי, הן מנצרכים פה במדינה, הן מארצה"ק ת"ו והן מאירופא, ובידעי אשר מדי שנה בשנה נתקבלו בהשתדלותו סכומים הגונים למעות חטים ממוסדות שונים ויחידים,
הנני מקוה אשר בטח גם בשנה זו יחזיק במנהגו הטוב הזה, וכמובן אשר כל המרבה והמקדים הרי זה משובח.

Since with the approach of the festival of Pesach there are many requests for assistance reaching me—from those in need here in this country, from Eretz HaKodesh (the Holy Land), and from Europe—and knowing that every year through your efforts significant sums have been collected for Maos Chitim from various institutions and individuals, I hope that certainly this year as well you will continue this good practice. Of course, whoever increases and hastens in this is praiseworthy.
