לקראת זמן מתן תורתנו הבע"ל, הנני בזה להביע ברכתי, שנחוג את חג קבלת תורת הוי' תמימה בשמחה ובפנימיות.
ובקביעות שנה זו ה"ה לכולא עלמא שבע שבתות תמימות ג"כ (מנחות סה, ב) ולא רק ימים תמימים.
- ומש"כ הרמב"ם: שאותו הפסח בשבת אירע כמו שדמו הטפשים (הל' תו"מ פ"ז הי"א), י"ל דקורא להם טפשים כי אין תירוצם תירוץ, וכמו שמסיים הרמב"ם שם. וכותב ע"ז שדמו, כי משה שנסתלק בז' באדר הי' זה בשבת או בער"ש (נסמן בנ"כ שו"ע או"ח סרצ"ב, ובהקדמת הרמב"ם: כל התורה כתבה מ"ר קודם שימות בכת"י ונתן כו'). וא"כ הי' ממחרת הפסח דשנת כניסתם לארץ ביום ג' (ולא קבלו אז עדיין הכלל דלא בד"ו פסח, והדברים עתיקים), או ד'. -

As we approach the time of the giving of our Torah, may it come upon us for good, I hereby express my blessing that we celebrate the festival of receiving the perfect Torah of Hashem with joy and inwardness.
This year’s calendar arrangement is such that for everyone there are seven complete weeks (as in Menachot 65b), not just complete days. Regarding what Rambam writes: that this particular Pesach occurred on Shabbat as some fools imagined (Hilchot Temidin uMusafin 7:11), it can be explained that he calls them fools because their answer is not a true answer, as Rambam concludes there. He writes about this that they imagined so because Moshe passed away on 7 Adar which was either Shabbat or Friday (as noted in glosses to Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim 292 and in Rambam’s introduction: all the Torah was written by Moshe before his passing in script "Yud Vav Nun etc."). Therefore, the day after Pesach in the year they entered the Land was Tuesday (and at that time they had not yet accepted the rule of "Pesach does not fall on Monday or Wednesday," and these matters are ancient), or Wednesday.
