The committee was a primary recipient of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s guidance on organizational, educational, and communal matters, as reflected in his correspondence.
The letters from the Rebbe to the Executive Committee of Agudas Chabad reveal a relationship characterized by close consultation, practical guidance, and deep appreciation. The Rebbe often sought the committee’s opinions on key decisions, such as the suitability of individuals to lead educational initiatives. For example, in a letter dated 3 Sivan 5712 (1952), the Rebbe enclosed a copy of his letter regarding the leadership of a preschool and requested the committee’s assessment. He encouraged them to support worthy candidates with loans and other assistance, emphasizing the long-term benefit of establishing educational institutions imbued with the Chabad spirit.

The Rebbe advised the committee to meet with Mr. Korn to solidify his commitments for the benefit of the community.
The Rebbe also coordinated visits of prominent rabbinic figures from the United States, such as Rabbi David Hollander and Rabbi Zvi Schechter, encouraging the committee to host them at Chabad institutions like the yeshivah in Lod and Kfar Chabad. He emphasized the importance of fostering relationships with a broad spectrum of Jewish groups, including both mainstream and more insular factions, for the sake of strengthening religious life and Chabad’s influence in the Land of Israel and abroad.
