עס האט מיר געפרייט צו הערן, אז איר זייט באשעפטיקט אין דער וויכטיקער אויפגאבע צו בויען א מאדערנע כשרע מקוה אין אייער שטאט, און אז דעם קומענדיקן זונטיק אי"ה קומט פאר א ספעציעלע אונטערנעמונג פאר דעם צוועק.
נעם איך די געלעגנהייט צו באגריסן אייך און ווינטשן אייך הצלחה צו קומען צו א גמר טוב אין דער אונטערנעמונג און, וואס עס איז נאך וויכטיקער, צו פארשפרייטן דעם געדאנק און די באוואוסטזיניקייט, אז טהרת המשפחה איז לעבנסנויטווענדיקייט, וואס אידיש לעבן קען אן דעם ניט אויסקומען. אט דער געדאנק מוז פארשפרייט ווערן אן אויפהער צווישן די אידישע פרויען פון טאראנטא און ארום.
אין די איצטיקע טעג נאך שבועות, זמן מתן תורתנו, איז זיכער איבעריק צו דערמאנען אייך, אז בא קבלת התורה זיינען פרויען געווען די ערשטע צו וועמען דער אויבערשטער האט זיך געווענדעט דורך משה רבינו. דאס ווייזט, אז צו פארזיכערן די אייביקייט פון דער תורה מוזן אידישע פרויען טאן זייער פליכט מיט לייב און לעבן.
ובפרט איז דאס וויכטיק אין דעם ענין פון טהרת המשפחה, וואס איז איינער פון די הויפטזיילען פון קיום פון גאנצן פאלק ישראל, און פון די תנאים פאר השראת השכינה בישראל וואס פ[א]דערט קדושה און טהרה (והי' מחנך קדוש).
כאטש אייער אונטערנעמונג איז א לאקאלע, איז דאס אבער, ווי אויבן געזאגט, נוגע דעם גאנצן כלל ישראל. דעריבער וויל איך זיך באטייליגען מיט א סימבאלישע ביישטייערונג, און בייליגענד איז א טשעק פאר דעם הייליקן צוועק.

I was pleased to hear that you are engaged in the important task of building a modern kosher mikveh in your city, and that this coming Sunday, G‑d willing, there will be a special event for this purpose. I take this opportunity to greet you and wish you success in reaching a good conclusion in this endeavor and, even more importantly, to spread the idea and awareness that Taharas HaMishpacha is an absolute necessity without which Jewish life cannot endure. This idea must be spread continuously among the Jewish women of Toronto and beyond.
In these days following Shavuos, the time of the giving of our Torah, it is certainly unnecessary to remind you that at the giving of the Torah it was the women whom the Alm-ghty first addressed through Moshe Rabbeinu. This shows that to ensure the eternity of Torah, Jewish women must fulfill their duty with all their heart and soul. This is especially important regarding Taharas HaMishpacha, which is one of the main pillars for the existence of all Israel and one of the conditions for the Divine Presence dwelling among Israel—which requires holiness and purity ("Ve'haya Machanecha Kadosh," "And your camp shall be holy").
Although your undertaking is local, as mentioned above it concerns all of Klal Yisrael. Therefore I wish to participate with a symbolic contribution; enclosed is a check for this holy purpose.
