כיון שהגמרא (תענית ט, א) אומרת עה"פ עשר תעשר, עשר בשביל שתתעשר, וכ"כ ברי הדבר עד שהקב"ה אומר בחנוני נא בזאת, מובטחני אשר השתתפותם בצדקה זו תהי' להם צינור להמשכת כל טוב כסיום הפסוק והריקותי לכם ברכה עד בלי די.

In continuation to my previous letter and in accordance with your response, enclosed is a receipt for the amount raised in your synagogue on the occasion of the festive meal of Yud Tes Kislev for the cause. Please kindly convey regards and blessings to all who participated in this mitzvah meal.
Since the Gemara (Taanis 9a) says regarding the verse "Aser Te'aser" (tithe you shall surely tithe), "tithe so that you may become wealthy," and this is so certain that the Holy One, blessed be He, says "test Me now with this," I am assured that your participation in this charity will serve as a channel for drawing down all good things, as it concludes: "and I will pour out for you a blessing until there is no more want."
