Come, let us bow down and prostrate ourselves; let us kneel before Hashem, our Maker.

בואו נשתחוה ונכרעה נברכה לפני ה' עושנו

This verse is a call to worship and humility before Hashem (G-d). It encourages people to physically express their reverence and submission by bowing, prostrating, and kneeling, actions that symbolize complete surrender to the Creator. The word עושנו ("our Maker") emphasizes that Hashem is not only the Creator of the world but also of each individual.

In prayer, this verse is often recited, particularly in the Kabbalat Shabbat service, highlighting the awe and reverence felt when standing before the Divine, especially on Shabbat when spiritual introspection is deepened.
