The Order of Hallel All the Days of the Festival
1. After the chazzan repeats the Shacharis prayer, we take the lulav and its species, in order to fulfill the positive commandment of the Torah, as it is written: "And you shall take for yourselves on the first day," etc. We recite the blessing "al netilas lulav" and "Shehechiyanu." The order of taking it, its blessings, and its waving will be explained in siman 651.
It is a positive commandment of the Sages to complete the Hallel all eight days of the festival, because each and every day is considered a Yom Tov in its own right, since its offerings are different from those of the other days. This is not the case with Pesach, where the offerings of all the days are the same; therefore, they only instituted completing Hallel on the first day alone.
All the laws of Hallel, its details, and the days on which it is completed have already been explained in siman 488 and in siman 422.
We do not say "El na le'olam te'oreitz" in the piyutim of the first day of Sukkos.
