... כבר בא העת שיוצרכו לעוררו ע"ד השפעה וזהירות נוספת ולא ע"ד ענינים עיקרים, והעיקר שיזכור ויתעורר ע"ד כוונת ענין התמימים שצריכים להיות נרות להאיר דוקא, ובטח בהכירו אותו ימצא האותיות המתאימות אשר סוכ"ס זאל עם דאס דורכנעמען, וידוע ג"כ פתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר (וכמדומה שנעתק ג"כ בהיום יום) אשר אף שאפיית לחם הוא דבר נחוץ, אבל היכול להתעסק בענינים דאבנים טובות ומרגליות, ותמורת זה מתעסק הוא בהנ"ל, ה"ז שלא כדבעי כלל וכלל.

... The time has already come when it is necessary to awaken him regarding increased influence and additional caution, and not about main issues. Most importantly, he should remember and be aroused concerning the intention of the matter of the Temimim—that they must specifically be lamps to illuminate. Surely, knowing him, you will find the appropriate words so that in the end he will take this to heart. It is also known the saying of my father-in-law, the Rebbe (and it seems it is also quoted in Hayom Yom), that even though baking bread is a necessity, one who can engage in matters of precious stones and gems but instead deals with the former is acting entirely improperly.
