מורי וחמי אדוננו מורנו ורבינו, הריני כפרת משכבו, הי' תמיד מברך את אלו הנערים אשר הי' שבע רצון מהם בברכה, שיגדלו ויהיו יראי שמים חסידים ולמדנים. וכן הנני שולח לך בזה ברכה זו, שתגדל והיית ירא שמים חסיד ולמדן. וזה תלוי במידה גדולה ברצונך אתה, שתתפלל בכל יום מתוך הסידור, ושתלמד בשקידה ותקיים את המצוות אשר אתה מחויב בהן.
תודיעני מזמן לזמן על אודות למודיך.

With pleasure I read your letter in which you inform me that you are studying Chumash with Rashi and Gemara Bava Metzia.
My teacher and father-in-law, our master, teacher and Rebbe—may I be an atonement for his resting place—would always bless those boys of whom he was pleased with the blessing that they should grow up to be G‑d-fearing chassidim and scholars.
So too I am sending you this same blessing: that you should grow up to be a G‑d-fearing chassid and scholar.
This depends greatly on your own desire—that you pray every day from the Siddur, study diligently, and fulfill the mitzvos which you are obligated in.
Let me know from time to time about your studies.
