I received your letter from Erev Shabbat Parshas Re'eh, in which you write that you are a supervisor for kashrus in a senior home run by the Joint, and it is difficult for you to carry out what you wish because not everyone is willing to follow your instructions. You ask whether you should move on to another occupation.
My opinion is that since Hashem has given you such an opportunity, where you can help ensure the senior home is run according to kashrus—and certainly when you are there, you can have an influence—not only that what goes into their stomachs is kosher, but also what goes into their minds is kosher—I think you should not leave this position. I am certain that if you seek advice, you will also find the appropriate ways to influence those upon whom it depends so they will follow your instructions. The reward for ensuring the senior home is run in purity is immeasurable; therefore I am sure this will bring you blessing and success in your personal matters and also nachas from your children.
