איך בין געווען צופרידן צו באקומען אייער טעלעגראם, אז אייער טאכטער תחי' האט אנגעהויבן צו גיין אין דער ישיבה. איך האף אז איר און אייער בעל-הבית'טע וועלן האבן פיל אידישען נחת פון איר בגשמיות וברוחניות.
זיכער האט איר געהערט דעם משל, אז א קינד איז ווי א יונג בוים. פונקט ווי א קליינע ענדערונג אין א יונג בוים וואקסט זיך מיט דער צייט פאנאנדער אין א גרויסער מאס, אזוי האט יעדע אנגעלעגנהייט אין דער קינדער ערציאונג א געוואלדיקע ווירקונג שפעטער. דערפאר וועט איר און אייער פרוי זיכער זיך באמיען צו פארבעסערן דעם חינוך פון אייער טאכטער תחי' זי זאל אויסוואקסן א פיינע אידישע טאכטער און איר זאלט האבן פון איר א סך אידישע נחת.

I was pleased to receive your telegram that your daughter, may she live, has begun attending the yeshivah. I hope that you and your wife will have much Jewish nachas from her both materially and spiritually.
Surely you have heard the parable that a child is like a young tree. Just as a small change in a young tree grows over time into a significant difference, so too does every detail in a child's education have a tremendous impact later on.
Therefore, you and your wife will surely strive to improve your daughter's education so she will grow into a fine Jewish daughter and you will have much Jewish nachas from her.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that every effort in a child's education has lasting effects, just as small changes in a young tree shape its future growth. Parents are encouraged to continually strengthen their children's upbringing for enduring Jewish pride.
