An elderly and G‑d-fearing rabbi visited me, who fights for his community on matters of Judaism with self-sacrifice, including issues related to kashrus.

Now a battle has erupted in our camp regarding meat that is salted after three days. I was shocked to hear that those opposing the aforementioned rabbi are basing their arguments on the rumor that the esteemed Rav shlita has given a clear ruling permitting frozen meat. Moreover, they claim that even meat kept in a refrigerator (freezer) does not have its time counted while it is stored there.

The fight against him is being waged not only by laypeople but also by others, etc. And since the esteemed Rav shlita knows the situation, it is unnecessary to elaborate on the terrible breach that could result from this rumor—especially in matters of kashrus entrusted to women and cooks.

I take the liberty to suggest to the esteemed Rav shlita that he publicly deny this rumor in a manner appropriate for this country. And if he wishes, I would appreciate being informed of what steps he has taken regarding this matter.

With honor and blessing for long life upon his kingdom—who are kings? The rabbis! May his strength be straightened in the holy Torah.
