The Rebbe's guidance on living in Eretz Yisrael — what the Land asks of those who live there, and where to settle:

A land whose purpose is holiness. Living in the Holy Land means embracing holiness as its core purpose (IK 6194). Life there should be a steady spiritual ascent through Torah and mitzvos; standing still is itself a descent (IK 5925, 10671). Living by the Torah there draws down G-d's blessing for every need (IK 10734), and the Land's atmosphere affects body and soul alike (IK 6642). Genuine support for Eretz Yisrael begins with strengthening Torah observance in it (IK 2034).

Using the privilege. Use your presence in Eretz Yisrael for your own spiritual growth and to influence others for good (IK 255, 1590, 9672). Those who come from Eretz Yisrael should see themselves as living examples of its holiness (IK 10121). Avoid disputes everywhere — but above all in Eretz Yisrael, where discord once led to exile (IK 1462).

Where to live. The Rebbe encouraged Anash to settle in Kfar Chabad, a channel of material and spiritual blessing, and to stay committed to it (IK 3278, 3301, 3495), and later recommended Nachalas Har Chabad (IK 10350). He urged unity among the settlers there and energetic efforts to spread Judaism (IK 9660, 9738, 10122).

Wherever you are. The spirit of Eretz Yisrael can be brought into one's surroundings anywhere (IK 1138), and true longing for holiness means elevating the place where one is now (IK 2781, 3561).
