I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from Wednesday, in which you write about your visit together with your wife, may she live and be well, to the Holy Land. Since you write that during your trip through New York there will not be an opportunity to meet me face to face, as a good thought is joined to action, I will express in writing my wishes that your visit to the Holy Land—'a land upon which the eyes of the L‑rd your G‑d are always from the beginning of the year until the end of the year'—be successful in every respect. Likewise, may your return journey also be successful, at its proper time and in a good manner.
Certainly, as in the past, you will visit Kfar Chabad and Chabad institutions.
And with a blessing connected to the theme of these days: May it be G‑d's will that all matters for each one of us among all Israel should increase and go forward in the light of 'a candle is a mitzvah and Torah is light,' as taught by these Chanukah candles. And may we hear only good news from each other.
With blessings for a joyous Chanukah, a good month, and a successful journey.
